Picture Framing Specialist

Dynamic custom picture framing, art and furniture studio is currently looking for a reliable, conscientious, and self-driven Picture Framing Specialist. The ideal candidate has an extensive knowledge of design and art and can confidently interact with clients in a pleasant and professional manner. The Design specialist will perform front end operations including proper signatures on documents and filing orders and art properly. When not working with customers, the Design Specialist will execute administrative and project management tasks, ensure the studio is well organized and assist in the frame shop under the direction of the Master Framer. Experience using mitre saw, underpinner, mount press, glass/acrylic cutter, hand tools and power tools is a plus.

Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:

Design and quote custom framing projects
Meticulously handle all administration and project management involved in proper processing of orders to completion
Attend Gallery Openings and Events to connect with clients in the art and design world
Actively maintain client and prospective client relationships
Install artwork in the studio and in customer locations
Know the status of each and every customer at any given time

Job Requirements:

Passionate about Art
Dynamic positive personality
Experience in picture framing
Proficiency in Math, good with fractions
Great spacial and visual sensiblity
Extremely meticulous and detail oriented
Must be able to work well under pressure and communicate well with others
Excellent follow-up skills & extreme attention to detail with ability to multitask
Understanding of how to prioritize and respond accordingly
Great listener, patient and respectful
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential matters professionally
Self-starter, can do attitude, can work with limited supervision
Understanding of a small business organization and can multi-task
Spanish Speaking is a plus
Valid Driver's License and transportation

Furniture Designer

Dynamic custom art and furniture studio is currently looking for a reliable, conscientious, and self-driven furniture designer. The ideal candidate has an extensive knowledge of design and materials and can manage several projects simultaneously from concept to final product. Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

Applies knowledge of design to moderately complex tasks in area of specialization
Support idea generation for projects and creates concepts
Works on multiple projects concurrently
Prepares information for scheduling and budget quotes
Ability to obtain client approval on documents, drawings and finish selections
Develops, maintains and archives appropriate project documentation including vendors, materials, and specifications
Maintain and submit timely and accurate time sheets, weekly schedules

Skills + Knowledge Required:

Understanding of contract Art + Furniture processes, including specification development, order preparation, project management, order management, and delivery/installation
Reading and Understanding of Elevations
Experience leading small projects as well as contributing to larger team projects
AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, Solidworks, Rhino, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite/Photoshop
